Burgas city council has allowed the cancer centre to order a motorised radiation shielding door for the bunker that houses its linear accelerator. Councillors decided at their meeting on 27 October 2026.
The door is for the radiotherapy department of KOC – Burgas EOOD. The company will make, deliver and fit it. The decision puts the price at about €31,000 before VAT.
Prof Dr Hristo Bozov, manager of Comprehensive Cancer Centre EOOD, put the proposal to the councillors.
