Nessebar will hold a blood donation drive at the Health House on 28 October, from 9am to 1pm, the municipality said.
The drive is called "Together we can save lives". The Regional Centre for Transfusion Haematology in Burgas is organising it, and Nessebar municipality supports it and is urging residents to take part.
Anyone who meets the medical requirements can donate. The blood is for patients who need urgent or life-saving treatment, and one donation can help more than one patient.
The municipality reminds people that giving blood is voluntary and gives patients a chance to live, and says every volunteer's contribution is real. In its view, the strength of a community is also measured by how ready it is to help when a human life is in danger.
"Give blood. Give hope. Save a life!" Nessebar municipality said in its appeal.
