Dialogue with the international human rights community

Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva held a strategic meeting with representatives of the diplomatic missions of the EU, the UK, the USA, and Switzerland. A key focus of the discussions was the successful re-accreditation of the institution with "A" status under the UN Paris Principles, which confirms compliance with the highest international standards.

Delcheva emphasized that the independence of the institution is fundamental and it should not be involved in functions that jeopardize public trust.
