The National Revenue Agency has begun stepped-up inspections of festivals in the Burgas region. More than 20 teams are monitoring for hidden turnover, following reports that 40% of summer inspections uncovered violations.

The National Revenue Agency (NRA) has taken strict control measures during major summer events in the Burgas region. Over 20 teams from the revenue agency are monitoring sales and turnover reporting in real time.

"The purpose of the control actions is to ensure compliance with both tax and social security legislation," stated Hristo Uzunov, spokesperson for the NRA Territorial Directorate.
