The decision of the Burgas District Court

After an eight-hour court hearing, the Burgas District Court imposed a measure of "house arrest" for three of the defendants in the pre-trial proceedings against ViK-Burgas.

The detention measure was imposed despite the prosecution's request for permanent detention in custody.

Who are the defendants?

According to investigators, the group operated by manipulating water meters in hotels along the Southern Black Sea coast, collecting irregular payments from their owners.

New court hearings are upcoming

It is expected that tomorrow the court will review the detention measure for the fourth defendant in the case – the regional chairman of the DPS in Burgas, Hristo Shirokov.
