A nationwide operation by the Ministry of Interior will be held from today until March 3rd to enforce the Road Traffic Act. The focus will be on violations such as driving without a license, alcohol consumption, aggressive behavior, and speeding.

An operation to enforce the Road Traffic Act will take place across the country from today until March 3, the Ministry of Interior announced on its website.

The ministry adds that a maximum number of officers with powers under the law will be engaged. 

The focus of the operation will be to prevent the driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers or after the use of alcohol or drugs, incorrect overtaking, passing, stopping, etc., failure to give way, aggressive behavior towards other road users, violations of speed limits, including all automated technical means for speed control, etc.

The Road Police Department of the General Directorate “National Police” appeals to all drivers to be responsible and careful and calls on citizens in unforeseen situations and the appearance of dangerous obstacles on the road, in the event of traffic accidents or other risky circumstances for road traffic, to report first to the emergency call number 112, and then to indicate them on social networks.
