The Ministry of Tourism, at the initiative of the outgoing Minister Miroslav Borshosh, proposes a new discussion of the Draft Law for the amendment and supplementation of the Tourism Act.
The proposal has been made to the Tourism Committee in the 51st National Assembly and provides for the inclusion of all stakeholders, especially the branch associations in the sector “tour operator and travel agency activity”.
The emphasis is on the opinions on the creation of a Tourist Guarantee Fund, providing for their thorough consideration before the second vote on the draft law.
Minister Borshosh emphasizes the importance of constructive dialogue between the Ministry of Tourism and the tourism associations for the development of sustainable and effective solutions in the sector.
The proposal aims to renew the in-depth debate on the proposals of the tourism industry regarding the draft law.
The Ministry of Tourism emphasizes its commitment to partnership with the industry and to a transparent legislative framework supporting the development of the Bulgarian tourism sector.
Yesterday, ABTTA insisted on corrections to the draft law for the Tourist Guarantee Fund, and tomorrow the Association “Future for Tourism” will give a press conference on the topic "The Tourist Guarantee Fund between consumer protection, racketeering and the grey economy".
