The large-scale initiative "Nessebar is for Cleaner Air", financed by the "Environment 2021-2027" Program, has entered an active implementation phase, which was officially presented during a press conference at the Artium Center.

Initial statistical data reveal an impressive dynamic - a total of 427 initial applications were received during the first stage. Experts conducted detailed technical inspections and developed over 400 specialized technical cards for the applying households.

At present, the project has approved 260 households that fully meet the program conditions. Official contracts have been signed with them, and the practical implementation of planned activities has started.

Parallel to the current activities, dismantling of outdated heating systems and installation of new, environmentally friendly devices are being carried out. The expert team continues to review incoming applications and rank new potential participants.

The ambitious four-year program provides for a complete replacement of 1,768 old heating devices in a total of 1,352 dwellings in the Nessebar municipality. Forecasts indicate that nearly 27,513 local residents will benefit from measures to improve atmospheric air quality.

The main strategic goal of the project is a phased replacement of devices using solid fuels such as wood and coal, with modern ecological heating alternatives. This will significantly contribute to improving the environmental situation and creating a healthier living environment for both local residents and tourists in the region.

The official announcement of the next approved candidates is upcoming, which will further expand the scope of this large-scale environmental initiative.
