Over 11 million euros for natural disaster prevention

The Managing Authority of the Environment Programme (EP) 2021–2027 has launched a large-scale procedure to reduce the risk of adverse geodynamic processes. The financial resource, amounting to 11,151,244.39 euros, is aimed at implementing preventive and geo-protection measures.

The funds are earmarked and will help municipalities protect the population and infrastructure from dangerous landslides, rockfalls, erosion, and abrasion.

Why are these measures needed?

The planned activities include the construction of protective facilities and enhanced monitoring. The main goal is to limit the risks to the life and health of the population, as well as to increase the resilience of these territories to the consequences of climate change.
