Up-to-date traffic information at border crossings
As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, the General Directorate "Border Police" reports intensive traffic at two main border crossings:
- Kapitan Andreevo BCP: Intensive outbound traffic for cars towards Turkey.
- Kalotina BCP: Intensive inbound traffic for cars from Serbia.
Traffic at the remaining borders with Romania, Greece, and North Macedonia is normal.
Important updates for travelers:
- Danube Bridge (Ruse – Giurgiu): Traffic has been restored in both lanes following repairs.
- Svishtov – Zimnicea: The ferry connection is temporarily suspended due to low water levels in the Danube River.
- Greece: Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tons can pass through the "Rudozem," "Zlatograd," "Makaza," and "Ivaylovgrad" crossings. "Kulata," "Ilinden," and "Kapitan Petko Voyvoda" handle all traffic, including trucks and buses.
