Critical situation at the Bulgarian-Turkish border

Traveling through the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing has turned into a real ordeal for drivers in recent days. At the end of the Maritsa motorway, queues of passenger cars have formed, reaching between 2 and 3 kilometers.

Waiting times at the border vary between 3 and 8 hours, which is seriously hindering traffic in the area.

Why did the queues form?

Social media is flooded with photos and videos of frustrated drivers who are forced to wait for hours in the heat. The situation remains tense, and authorities are urging travelers to be patient.
