Active traffic at Bulgarian border checkpoints
This morning, the Border Police reported increased traffic at some of the key border checkpoints in the country. Drivers planning a trip should anticipate possible delays.
Intensive traffic is reported for cars at the Kalotina border checkpoint upon entry into Bulgaria and at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint upon exit to Turkey.
Situation in neighboring countries:
- Greece: Traffic is completely normal at all border crossings. Restrictions for vehicles up to 3.5 tons are in effect for the Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza, and Ivaylovgrad checkpoints. All types of vehicles, including buses and trucks, can pass through Ilinden, Kulata, and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda.
- Romania and the Republic of North Macedonia: Traffic at all border crossings with the Republic of North Macedonia and Romania is proceeding normally and without delays.
