The national railway carrier BDZ is taking unprecedented actions against the massive pollution and destruction of rolling stock by irresponsible passengers. The company's management published an official position sharply criticizing the tendency of systematic wagon damage.

According to expert statements, cases of intentional waste disposal, food and drink spillage, and deliberately leaving large amounts of trash on seats and floors are increasing. Such actions not only worsen the aesthetic appearance of trains but also create an extremely unpleasant atmosphere for other passengers.

The railway management emphasizes that such behavior directly contradicts elementary norms of public culture and mutual respect. Every act of vandalism becomes an additional financial burden for the company, as cleaning and repair funds are diverted from planned investments in service improvement.

Transport Minister Grozdan Karadjov proposed specific measures to address the problem. These include introducing mandatory personnel on long-distance trains - employees responsible for the initial condition of wagons and stewards who control hygiene during travel.

As evidence of the problem's scale, BDZ published photos of a train on the Sofia - Gorna Oryahovitsa - Varna route, which was in extremely poor sanitary condition. According to the company's internal statistics, at least several trains daily are subject to such violations.

The railway management categorically calls on passengers to show higher public responsibility and help maintain cleanliness and order. They emphasize that despite limited resources and outdated rolling stock, they are making maximum efforts to maintain train compositions.

The ultimate goal of the campaign is to raise passenger culture and create a better travel environment that meets modern standards of quality and comfort.
