Massive checks of heavy-duty vehicles near Burgas
This morning, a specialized operation for the control of heavy-duty transport began, carried out by officers from the "Economic Police" department at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas and teams from the "Automotive Administration" Executive Agency.
The checks are focused on compliance with the requirements for the permissible weight of trucks transporting agricultural produce.
The results of the initial inspection are alarming: out of 30 trucks checked, parked near a large warehouse base near the village of Svoboda, 8 violations were found. The detected overloading varies between 7 and 14 tons above the permissible standards.
Why is this dangerous?
- The maximum permissible weight for this type of heavy-duty vehicle is between 40 and 42 tons.
- Exceeding these values leads to serious deformation of the road surface.
- Widespread violations create prerequisites for severe road trauma.
As of this hour, the inspections are continuing, with teams remaining on the ground to ensure traffic safety and the protection of road infrastructure.
