Report for the past 24 hours
The General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection reports that in the last 24 hours, firefighters have extinguished 80 fires and responded to 151 incident alerts. At the time of the report, there is no data on deaths or injuries.
Statistics show that out of the total number of fires, 22 caused direct material damage, while 58 resulted in none.
Major incidents:
- Shumen: A fire in a toilet paper production plant was extinguished. Workers were evacuated in a timely manner.
- Trakia Motorway: A dry grass fire necessitated a temporary suspension of traffic in both directions near the 284th kilometer due to heavy smoke.
- Sofia (Triazhna railway station): A fallen poplar tree onto the contact network stopped train traffic. Fire crews removed the tree.
- Sofia (Obelya district): A large fire in structures next to a house containing tires, auto parts, and gas cylinders. Rescue teams successfully evacuated a bedridden person from the building.
- Pernik: Firefighters extinguished a fire in a sewing workshop.
A total of 66 rescue activities and support operations were conducted, aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens.
