Activity of the fire services in the country
The units of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP) reported an intense 24-hour period with a total of 184 incident reports. As a result of the firefighters' swift actions, 138 fires were extinguished across the country.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries in the incidents that occurred.
Incident statistics
- Fires with material damage: 18 cases (4 in residential buildings, 2 in industrial facilities, 3 in outbuildings, 3 in vehicles, and 1 in a forest area).
- Fires without material damage: 120 cases, including 79 fires in dry grass, forest litter, and shrubs.
- Rescue operations: The teams carried out 38 rescue activities and auxiliary operations.
The fire department also reported that eight false calls were received, which engaged the teams without any real necessity.
