66 Fires in 24 Hours: One Fatality and 107 Incident Reports

66 fires were extinguished in the country in the last 24 hours, with one fatality. Firefighters responded to 107 calls, of which 20 involved material damage. 38 rescue operations and support activities were carried out.

A total of 66 fires were extinguished in the country in the last 24 hours, one person died, the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” (GDPSPC) announced. The information is current as of 6:00 a.m. this morning. Firefighters responded to 107 incident calls.

20 fires occurred with direct material damage, of which eight in residential buildings, two in industrial buildings, three in auxiliary, temporary or flimsy buildings, four in vehicles and others. 

46 fires occurred without material damage, of which four in dry grasses, forest litter and shrubs, 29 in waste, eight in cooking appliances and chimneys and others.

38 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, of which five in transport vehicle accidents, one in an incident with hazardous substances, one in an industrial accident, 30 for providing technical assistance and one for providing assistance to injured citizens. 

Three false alarms were also registered.
