A total of 64 fires were extinguished in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Main Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” (FDPSPP) of the Ministry of Interior on the department's website in information about the operational situation as of 6:00 a.m. today.
Between 00:00 and 24:00 on December 20, the fire departments responded to 95 calls for incidents.
23 fires occurred with direct material damage, of which 10 – in residential buildings, three – in auxiliary, temporary or flimsy buildings, five – in vehicles.
41 fires occurred without material damage, of which one – in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs, 25 – in waste, 10 – in cooking appliances and chimneys.
26 rescue activities and support operations were carried out, of which eight – in traffic accidents, and 18 operations in which technical assistance was provided, incl. for removing dangerous objects, rescuing animals, assisting citizens and other structures of the Ministry of Interior.
Five false calls were also registered.
There were no fatalities or injuries in the fires in the country in the past 24 hours, the FDPSPP informs.
