In the last 24 hours, 54 fires have been extinguished in the country, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" announced on its website. Firefighters responded to a total of 96 incident reports, which underlines the workload of the services within 24 hours.

Two injured citizens were registered at the fire sites during the past period. The fire caused material damage in 22 fires, eight of which occurred in residential buildings. Fortunately, no damage was reported in the remaining 32 fires.

At the same time, the rescue teams carried out 38 rescue activities and support operations. Seven of these operations were related to accidents, which shows the key role of the fire services in providing assistance in various emergency situations.

Unfortunately, four false calls were registered during the past 24 hours, which divert valuable resources from genuine emergency cases.
