50 fires have been extinguished in the country in the past 24 hours, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" (GDPSPC) announced on its website. A 66-year-old man was injured in a fire in an apartment in Varna.

Firefighting teams responded to 75 reports of incidents. There was material damage in 18 fires, 12 of which were in residential buildings. 

22 rescue operations and auxiliary operations were carried out. Of these, three were due to accidents, and 19 - providing technical assistance.

Three false calls were received by the fire department in the past 24 hours.
