The tally for the past 24 hours
A total of 39 fires have been extinguished over the past 24 hours in the country, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection announced on its official website. The good news is that there were no fatalities or injuries in the incidents.
Incident statistics
Firefighters responded to a total of 82 incident reports. The statistics by type of fire show:
- With direct material damage: 11 fires occurred, of which 6 were in residential buildings and 3 in vehicles.
- Without material damage: 28 fires were registered, involving waste, dry grass, forest litter, as well as ignited cooking appliances and chimneys.
It is important to note that firefighters also carried out 38 rescue activities and assistance operations, 8 of which were following road accidents.

Over the past 24 hours, 5 false calls were also made, which unnecessarily burdened the fire department teams. We remind citizens to show responsibility and to report incidents only in case of real danger.
