Over the last 24 hours, firefighters in the country extinguished a total of 32 fires, according to the Main Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GDPSZN) - Ministry of Interior. The information is published on the official website of the department and is current as of 6:00 AM this morning. The good news is that no people were injured in these incidents.
A total of 82 reports of incidents were received by the firefighters in the past 24 hours. The quick response and professionalism of the employees prevented more serious consequences in many cases.
Sixteen of the fires that occurred caused direct material damage. Of these, seven occurred in residential buildings, two in industrial facilities, and five in vehicles. The cases emphasize the need for increased attention and adherence to fire safety rules, especially in homes and workplaces.
Another 16 fires were extinguished without material damage. These incidents include ten fires in waste, three in cooking appliances and chimneys. This again highlights the importance of prevention and regular inspection of appliances that can be a potential source of ignition.
In addition to extinguishing fires, the firefighters also performed 48 rescue activities and support operations. These include seven cases of traffic accidents in vehicles, one operation in incidents involving hazardous substances, and 38 cases of technical assistance. These data reflect the wide range of tasks performed by firefighters, beyond the traditional extinguishing of fires.
Unfortunately, two false calls were also registered, which represents a waste of valuable time and resources. The law enforcement agencies appeal for responsibility and signaling only when there is a real need.
