Over the past 24 hours, the teams of the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection (DGFSP) have carried out intensive work, extinguishing a total of 101 fires and responding to 146 calls for help. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incidents.
Statistics show that 30 of the fires resulted in direct material damage.
Distribution of incidents:
- Residential buildings: 7 fires
- Auxiliary and makeshift structures: 3 fires
- Vehicles: 9 fires
- Forest areas: 1 fire
- Agriculture: 6 fires
The remaining 71 cases passed without causing material damage. In addition to the fires, firefighters carried out 34 rescue activities and support operations. These included 7 interventions at road accidents, one at an industrial accident, and 26 other cases of providing assistance.
The directorate also reported 11 false calls, which unnecessarily burdened the work of the on-duty teams.
