The geographical strip known as Maslen Nos cuts deeply into the Black Sea waters, representing one of the most picturesque corners of the Strandzha Mountain massif. Located near the resort town of Primorsko, the area is distinguished by impressive golden beach strips and exceptionally rich historical heritage.
Archaeological research reveals the centuries-old presence of human civilizations in these areas. At the strategic mouth of the Ropotamo River, impressive remains of the ancient city of Ranuli are preserved, complemented by archaeological evidence of a Roman settlement. The fortress walls of Tera, which once guarded the coastline, and the medieval port of Siva complete the mosaic of historical layers.
The territory of Maslen Nos has the status of a natural landmark, which emphasizes its ecological significance. Among the most attractive sites in the area is the Thracian sanctuary of Begliktash - an archaeological monument of exceptional scientific value.
The beach strip of the cape is a true natural phenomenon. Surrounded by impressive rock formations, the area offers ideal conditions for sea sports enthusiasts, especially divers. Access to this corner can be achieved via two main routes: the first starts from the former Perla residence, and the second from the Begliktash sanctuary.
The first route includes a four-kilometer trek on an unpaved road, which takes approximately an hour on foot. The second route is shorter - about 2.2 kilometers, of which 1.7 km are a forest path and 500 meters are an unpaved road. The eco-trail is well-marked with red directional signs, which facilitates tourist movement.
Maslen Nos continues to be one of the most attractive and authentic places along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, preserving its natural beauty and historical memory.
