On June 6, 2025, residents of the "Dolno Ezerovo" neighborhood in Burgas, together with Deputy Mayor Vesna Baltina and municipal councilors, joined the "Green Environment" initiative. The goal was to improve the plant waste site by planting low-growing vegetation to create a green area around the site. The event was part of the initiatives dedicated to World Environment Day in Burgas and the "Green Burgas: Fair and Inclusive Green Policies" project, funded by the INTERREG EUROPE 2021-2027 Program. Prior to this, other environmental initiatives were held in the same neighborhood, such as the "Clean Today - Green Tomorrow" campaign, in which students and local residents cleaned up polluted areas, and demonstrations of good practices for separate collection of bio-waste. The aim of these activities is to encourage sustainable behavior, raise awareness of environmental challenges, and create engagement in every citizen towards nature conservation.

Children, municipal officials and environmentalists from Burgas united to improve the plant waste site in the "Dolno Ezerovo" neighborhood and encourage sustainable behavior among citizens. The event is part of the "Green Burgas: Fair and Inclusive Green Policies" project.
