The official UEFA statistics reveal an impressive transformation in women's football leadership. On July 2, 2025, it was confirmed that 7 out of 16 competing national teams are led by women coaches, representing a remarkable 43.75% of all participants.
This result dramatically contrasts with the data from 2013, when only 18.75% of teams had female coaching leadership. Among the leading names are Rhian Wilkinson from Wales, Pia Sundage from Switzerland, and Sarina Wiegman from England – symbols of professional expertise and leadership potential.
Despite the progress made, 9 teams are still managed by men. International football organizations FIFA and UEFA are actively working on programs aimed at increasing female representation in coaching staff and creating a more balanced environment in world football.
