Wizz Air is resuming direct flights from Sofia to Abu Dhabi, as part of its winter schedule. Flights will operate three times a week, offering convenient travel to the United Arab Emirates.

Wizz Air is resuming direct flights from Sofia to Abu Dhabi, the airline's press service announced. This step is part of the carrier's winter schedule and will offer passengers from the Bulgarian capital the opportunity to travel directly to the United Arab Emirates.

Flights will operate three times a week, with departures scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tickets are already on sale, both on the airline's website and through the mobile application, providing convenience for future passengers.

Wizz Air emphasizes that the resumption of the route is part of the carrier's broader expansion in Bulgaria. The company plans to optimize schedules, with the aim of more efficiently using the aircraft based in Sofia and Varna. In addition, new routes are expected to be introduced in the coming months, which will strengthen Wizz Air's presence in the Bulgarian market.

Anastasia Novak, Corporate Sustainability and Communications Manager at Wizz Air, expressed her satisfaction with the resumption of flights to Abu Dhabi from Sofia. "The city offers a unique combination of culture, modern atmosphere and new experiences - exactly what our passengers are looking for", she said. According to her, the expansion of the network aims to provide more convenient and affordable travel opportunities for Bulgarian passengers.

BTA Agency recalls that in early August, the company announced flights from Sofia to seven new destinations. These destinations include Chisinau (Moldova), Prague (Czech Republic), Turin (Italy), Marrakech (Morocco), Warsaw-Modlin (Poland), Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands) and Lamezia Terme (Italy).

Also, from November 15, Wizz Air aircraft operate flights from Bratislava to Plovdiv and Varna. These flights are operated year-round, with schedules providing for departures on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, which provides additional travel opportunities from Slovakia to Bulgaria.
