Wind energy accounted for only 0.3 percent of Bulgaria's total electricity mix over the last 24 hours, with the country's production from this source reaching 0.4 gigawatt-hours. These figures are part of the latest bulletin from the WindEurope Power Numbers platform, which reports that the total share of wind power in Europe over the past day reached 21.5 percent.

Regarding the distribution of energy by installation type, onshore wind turbines provided 17.9 percent of the total volume, amounting to 1320 gigawatt-hours. On the other hand, offshore wind farms contributed 3.6 percent to the total, or 165 gigawatt-hours.

The development of wind energy in Europe and Bulgaria is crucial for energy security and electricity prices for households in Burgas and the region.

The leaders in total wind-generated electricity were Germany with 508.7 gigawatt-hours, France with 156.1 gigawatt-hours, and Spain with 150.2 gigawatt-hours. When looking at the share of wind energy relative to each country's total national mix, the highest results over the last 24 hours were seen in Denmark (68.2 percent), Lithuania (59.3 percent), and Ireland (49.8 percent).
