Volunteer Svetlana from Ravda is forced to pay substantial fines amounting to 2800 levs for providing care to the stray cats in the city. Together with other like-minded individuals, Svetlana regularly feeds and sterilizes these animals at her own expense, but this action has been perceived by disgruntled neighbors as a violation of public order.
One of the fines imposed on Svetlana is precisely for this alleged violation. The amount is unaffordable for the woman, and all the volunteers in Ravda, even if they gather, will not be able to cover it. This means that 58 cats that she could have neutered for that amount of money will be left without help.
The organizers of the campaign are calling on the over 500 followers of the group on social networks to respond and help Svetlana. They emphasize that any of us can find ourselves in a similar situation where the support of others can save a person and the good deed they are engaged in.
