The Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia lost power on Saturday 17 October after a Russian strike, mayor Serhiy Morgunov said. City electric transport will not run until power returns.
"Vinnytsia has no electricity because of the Russian attack. For now, specialists are assessing the damage," Morgunov wrote.
Critical infrastructure sites are on backup power, the mayor said. More buses and minibus taxis will run on the routes.
Russia has waged a full-scale war on Ukraine since February 2022 and regularly hits its energy system.
If the internet goes down, residents can follow the news on the radio station "Misto nad Buhom" on 101.8 FM, Morgunov advised.
