First comes the warning, this disembodied voice from the loudspeakers: "Attention. Air raid in the city. Please proceed to the bomb shelter on the minus second floor." Then comes the mosquito-like buzzing of the invading Russian drones, gathered hundreds of meters above the clouds.
Immediately afterwards, the rattling of anti-aircraft guns is heard, the distant rumble of explosions, and finally the ominous wailing of ambulances and fire trucks.
This is the grim reality of the night in Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine.
These drones are attack drones that explode on impact.
Drones are already an integral part of modern warfare, but they are not limited to the battlefield.
