Michael Roesch, an experienced executive with extensive experience in managing airports around the world, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD. He takes over the position from Dr. Frank Quante, who is retiring after nearly five years of transformational leadership to take on a new managerial role within the Fraport Group in Turkey.

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, the operator of the airports in Burgas and Varna, announced a change in its executive management. After nearly five years as Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Frank Quante will step down from the position to take on a new management role within the Fraport Group in Turkey.

Michael Roth, an experienced executive with solid experience in airport management and currently a member of the boards of several Fraport AG subsidiaries, including Fraport USA Inc. and Fraport TAV Antalya (Turkey), has been appointed to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Twin Star.

With professional experience spanning more than two decades, Michael Roth joined Fraport in 2003 and has played a key role in the management of global airport transactions and investments on various continents. As part of Fraport AG's International Activities and Services division in Germany, he leads asset management activities in North America and Asia.

Recently, Michael Roth led a major long-term financing project worth 2.5 billion euros, supporting Fraport's investment in Antalya Airport, Turkey. As a long-standing member of the Supervisory Board of Fraport Twin Star, he has an in-depth knowledge of the company's achievements, strategic direction, and local context. With a commitment to values-based leadership and expertise in the industry, Michael Roth is well-prepared to lead Fraport Twin Star to the next phase of growth and development.

Michael Roth holds a Master of Business Law (LL.M.) degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany, as well as an economics degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt, Germany. He is certified in leadership and project management, which underscores his broad and strategic profile.

The change in leadership comes at a key moment for Fraport Twin Star, as the company is implementing major infrastructure and investment projects, including the upcoming rehabilitation of the runway at Burgas Airport, a significant investment in operational safety and long-term capacity, as well as improvements to the terminals and the development of initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of the two airports. These efforts reflect Fraport AG's commitment to maintaining the highest global standards and supporting Bulgaria's role as a key tourism and logistics hub.

"It is an honor for me to take on this role and build on the solid foundation laid by Dr. Frank Quante and the exceptional team in Bulgaria," said Michael Roth. "This change is not just a change in leadership - it is a handover based on trust, shared values, and mutual respect. Fraport Twin Star plays a key role in the connectivity and development of tourism in the region. I look forward to working together with all stakeholders to support the sustainable growth and operational excellence of the airports in Burgas and Varna."

This management change reflects the Fraport Group's long-term vision for continuity and development of leadership in its international operations.
