Technological solutions are not only a convenience for users, but also a key factor for economic growth. According to Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Bulgaria needs to be faster and bolder in adopting new technologies in order not to fall behind world leaders like the USA and China. He pointed out that fintech services have democratized and liberalized the traditional financial sector, giving people easier and cheaper access to various financial services.
Donchev stressed that when it comes to the development of high-tech like artificial intelligence, Bulgaria needs to gain experience and be among the first, not just focus on regulation. He cited the example of the USA and China, which are making huge efforts to create ever-more advanced artificial intelligence models.
