The new festival "Burgas off-season" will be held in Burgas and is organized by the Lyuben Grois Theater College in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas and the National Film Center. The initiative is aimed at school and university students who can participate with their projects for short feature and documentary films, where the main character is the beloved Burgas.
This was announced at a press conference today, Monday, June 23, 2025, by Mihail Mihailov, rector of the "Burgas" class at the Lyuben Grois Theater College. The event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Culture Diana Savateva, Kremena Dimitrova from the National Film Center, and Professor Alexander Donev.

By the end of August, the best projects will be selected, which will enter the final ten. The grand winner will receive a prize of 5000 leva, and the authors of the best short film and the best feature film - 3000 leva each. The awards ceremony will take place on St. Nicholas Day - the holiday of Burgas.
