In Burgas, there is a significant demand for highly qualified specialists in the field of education, according to the latest data from the "Labor Office" Directorate in the city. A check by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) on the official website of the Employment Agency reveals that currently over 30 vacancies for educators are announced, ranking them among the most sought-after professionals in the regional center, on par with medical specialists.
The available positions cover the entire spectrum of the educational system - from preschool to high school, and there are also opportunities for management positions. Among the sought-after specialists are teachers of geography, economics, maritime navigation, chemistry, and environmental protection. Requirements for candidates include higher education with the relevant specialization and mandatory teaching qualifications.
Interested individuals can obtain detailed information about the announced positions both on-site at the "Labor Office" Directorate in Burgas and online through the official website of the Employment Agency. This facilitates access to information and application for desired positions.
New initiative "I Choose Bulgaria"
In the context of these employment opportunities, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) announced a new initiative called "I Choose Bulgaria". This measure is aimed at two main groups: Bulgarians returning from abroad and people wishing to move to smaller towns with up to 50,000 inhabitants.
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova explained to BTA that the "I Choose Bulgaria" program is funded by the "Human Resources Development" Program (HRDP) and is implemented in two components:
- The first component is aimed at attracting Bulgarian citizens who wish to return to their homeland. To be eligible, candidates must either have lived abroad for 12 of the last 18 months or have recently completed their education abroad.
- The second component of the measure aims to encourage people currently living in Bulgaria to start working in another town with a population under 50,000 inhabitants.
