The Program for one-time assistance for students in primary and secondary education in Sozopol and Primorsko has been launched.

The Directorate of Social Assistance in Sozopol informs citizens that it is accepting application-declarations for one-time assistance in the amount of 300 BGN for students enrolled in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 for the 2025/2026 school year. The assistance is provided based on the current address of the families whose children live permanently in the country and are not placed for upbringing outside the family, regardless of the family's income.

The one-time assistance is also provided to the guardian/trustee who cares for the child, as well as to children placed in the families of relatives, close ones, and foster families. The application-declarations in the prescribed form are submitted by October 15, 2025, except in cases where the child cannot start school due to health reasons, but no more than 6 months from the beginning of the school year.

The assistance is paid in two installments - 50% after the order for its granting enters into force and 50% at the beginning of the second school term, if the child continues to study. The assistance is used once for the respective grade and is subject to reimbursement if the child does not enroll in school, does not continue their education, or has more than 5 unexcused absences per month.

Social workers by region will accept the applications at the building of the Directorate of Social Assistance in Sozopol, at the Regional Social Assistance Office in Primorsko, as well as in the mayoralties of the two municipalities according to an approved schedule. The application must be accompanied by documents certifying the child's enrollment in the respective grade, a medical protocol in case of health reasons, and a copy of documents for guardianship/trusteeship.
