Sports hall "Mladost" in Burgas has been transformed: a modern base with a European standard opens again

After a year of intensive construction work, the Mladost sports hall is preparing to once again welcome athletes and the public in Burgas, with a completely changed vision and a European level of amenities. The reconstruction, which is the first of its kind since the construction of the facility in 1987, will be completed before the end of December.
The overall renovation was carried out with funds under a European program, and the investment amounts to 779,300 euros. The project includes a complete replacement of the roof, completely new electrical and plumbing systems, renovated facades and interior, as well as restored compromised load-bearing structures.

The capacity of 1,500 seats has been preserved, but all seats have been replaced with the latest model. In addition to the standard box, the hall now also has a second VIP sector on the upper level. The playing field is equipped with a new terraflex, movable stands, and the electronic boards have remote control for maximum flexibility during events.

With the updated sports conditions, Mladost meets all the requirements for hosting international volleyball tournaments, including the Champions League. This opens up new opportunities for the clubs "Neftohimik" and "Deya Sport", which can now participate in the high sports class without restrictions.

The conditions for the athletes have been significantly improved: completely renovated changing rooms, a new gym, sauna and steam bath. The two smaller halls, intended for rhythmic gymnastics and martial arts, have also been renovated.
The renovation of Mladost is part of the larger "Rejuvenate the City" program – a strategy of Burgas Municipality to modernize the entire sports infrastructure in the city and create standards for training and competition facilities.
