Urgent call for support: Famous Bulgarian sound engineer fighting a rare tumor

In a dramatic appeal to the public, a close friend of the renowned sound engineer Danail Danailov - known as Dido, shared an extremely personal and emotional story about his battle with a rare oncological disease. The professional, who has worked with numerous Bulgarian musical artists, is currently facing a serious challenge - treatment of a malignant tumor discovered half a year ago.

Dido's medical odyssey began with initial examinations in Bulgaria, which failed to identify the exact type of the disease. A series of consultations and check-ups led to the conclusion that the necessary expertise exceeds the capabilities of local medical centers.

After thorough research, specialists chose The European Institute of Oncology in Italy as the leading medical facility. Additional examinations confirmed an extremely rare diagnosed tumor - myxofibrosarcoma, which requires specialized therapeutic intervention.

The upcoming procedure represents an innovative method called local chemotherapy through isolated perfusion. The essence of this high-tech approach is the direct introduction of concentrated chemotherapeutic drugs into the affected limb while temporarily interrupting blood circulation.

The critical moment is related to the need to urgently raise 55,000 euros for the initial stage of treatment. Admission to the hospital is planned for July 3, 2025, which puts additional pressure on the fundraising timeline.

The initiator of the donation campaign - his friend Rafi, emotionally appeals to the general public for assistance. He emphasizes Dido's exceptional professionalism and human qualities, describing him as one of the best sound engineers in the Bulgarian music industry.

For the convenience of potential donors, specific bank accounts have been provided in both leva and euros. The holder Danail Georgiev Danailov has also indicated additional details for international transfers, including a home address in the city of Burgas.

The main goal of the campaign is not only financial support but also preserving the working capacity and life of an exceptional musical professional. Every gesture of solidarity can be crucial in this extremely personal battle against the insidious oncological disease.
