SOMAT Overpass: Temporary Traffic Changes

Burgas Municipality has announced temporary changes to traffic organization around the SOMAT overpass.

The reason is planned cleaning of rainwater drainage shafts in the area.

The announcement from the local administration specifies that the traffic rearrangement will take place on September 17, Wednesday, in the time interval from 7:00 to 14:00.

During this period, access to the "Lozovo" industrial zone will be redirected.

Companies located in the zone will be served via an alternative route, passing through the street in front of the Free Duty-Free Zone and "Kraiezerna" street.

This decision is expected to lead to temporary traffic difficulties in the area, and Burgas Municipality appeals to drivers to be patient and follow the instructions of the traffic police.

The need to clean the shafts is key to preventing potential flooding and drainage problems during heavier rainfall, which is essential for the safety of citizens and infrastructure.

Given the proximity of the industrial zone, the decision for an alternative route has been made to minimize the hindrance of economic activity in the region.
