Earlier today, the caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov announced that 1.6 million pensioners will receive 20 or 50 euros depending on the amount of their pension as an Easter supplement. 

According to Klysurski, about 58 million euros have been secured for pensioners, despite the lack of an adopted budget for 2026 and the difficulties in view of the rising prices of some goods and fuels. It is good that pensioners with the highest pensions will not receive such supplements, as it would not be fair to those with the lowest pensions, the minister pointed out. According to him, this is an important step that the caretaker government is taking. We have been discussing it from the first day of the government with Minister Adiemov and with Prime Minister Gyurov, Klysurski said. “The supplements are not a function of the statements of this or that party representative, but a policy that we have been discussing since the beginning of the caretaker government and today I am glad that we accepted it together,” the Minister of Finance also said.
