A specialized report by the United Nations reveals extremely alarming data on systematic violations against underage citizens during military actions. UN experts have documented an unprecedented 105% increase in crimes against children in the period 2024-2025.
According to official data presented by Virginia Gamba - special representative on children in armed conflicts, 94 murders and 577 cases of injury among minor Ukrainian citizens have been recorded. The report emphasizes that the perpetrators are Russian military personnel and associated paramilitary formations.
Additional concern is caused by information about illegally deported children whose fate remains unknown. Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Andrii Melnyk, issued a sharp criticism and called for immediate international action.
