Russian Attacks in Ukraine: Six Killed in Missile Strikes

At least six people lost their lives after Russia launched hundreds of missile and drone attacks against energy infrastructure and residential buildings in Ukraine overnight.

A strike on a residential building in the city of Dnipro took the lives of two people and injured 12, while three died in Zaporizhzhia.

A total of 25 locations across Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv, were hit, leaving many areas without electricity and heating. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated on Telegram that major energy facilities were damaged in the Poltava, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions, and that work is underway to restore the power supply.

Tension is palpable in the air. At the scene of the tragedy in Dnipro, rescuers and volunteers continue to search for survivors under the rubble. The sight is devastating - torn structures, smoke-stained by fires, and frightened glances of eyewitnesses.

At the same time, in Kyiv, against the impenetrable darkness of the night, the sounds of air raid sirens are heard again and again, and in the distance, sounds of explosions can also be detected.

Russia's actions, directed against civilian targets, raise serious questions regarding its adherence to international law and the principles of humanity.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its forces shot down 79 Ukrainian drones overnight. Despite these claims, the scale of the attacks against Ukrainian territory and infrastructure is clear. These attacks not only cause immense suffering but also threaten regional stability, undermining international efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict.
