Eleven civilians were wounded in a heavy Russian missile attack on Kharkiv on Monday evening, Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) said on Tuesday, 13 October.

Russian forces hit residential areas and civilian infrastructure in the Kholodnohirskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.

"One of the missiles hit a four-storey apartment block and the entrance is completely destroyed. There may be people under the rubble," the SES said.

A rescuer was also wounded while clearing the damage and was taken to hospital.

Other addresses in Kharkiv have been damaged or are on fire.
