At least 12 people were killed and 13 injured when a Russian strike hit a passenger bus in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, the city council said. The city has stopped public transport because of the attacks and to keep people safe.

Russian forces hit the city with a UMPB D-30 SN bomb at about 10:00 today, Ukraine's National Police said. It landed on a street where two buses were passing at the time.

The casualty figures are preliminary, and the full toll of the strike is still being established.

Kramatorsk is close to the front line and under constant Russian shelling. Because of the shelling and evacuations, only some residents remain, and every trip through the city is a risk.

Few people are left in Kramatorsk, but the Russian army is hitting the buses that carry them. The strike is another grave crime by Russian forces against civilians.
