Upcoming repair activities on the "Hemus" motorway in Sofia region will require temporary traffic restrictions in the coming days. On June 3, from 8 am to 6 pm, in the section between the 29th and 31st kilometer, in the direction of Varna, traffic will pass through the overtaking lane, while the emergency and active lanes will be closed for road surface repair.
On June 3 and 4, from 8 am to 4 pm, in the section from the 36th to the 39th kilometer, in the direction of Sofia, traffic will be carried out in one lane at a time to carry out geodetic measurements in preparation for upcoming asphalt repair. The overtaking and emergency lanes will be restricted, and vehicles will pass through the active lane.
On June 3, from 8 am to 6 pm, in the section from the 60th to the 61st kilometer, in the direction of Sofia, traffic will be diverted to the overtaking lane, while the emergency and active lanes will be closed for road surface repair work.
The Road Infrastructure Agency apologizes for the inconvenience, but emphasizes that the repair work is necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers. Drivers are urged to observe speed limits, not to attempt risky overtaking, and to monitor the current road situation through the RIA website or the 24-hour information line.
