Tomorrow, on June 19, from 8 am to 6 pm, the traffic on the Hemus Motorway in Sofia region will be restricted to one lane in two separate sections. Mechanical patching of the asphalt pavement will be carried out on the section between the 26th and 27th kilometer towards Varna. Here, the traffic will pass through the overtaking lane, and the active lane will be closed for repair work.
The traffic organization will also be changed in the direction of Sofia at the 63rd kilometer of the motorway, in a section with a length of about 550 meters. In this section, passing in the overtaking lane will be restricted, and vehicles will be redirected to the active lane.
The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) apologizes to drivers for the inconvenience caused, but emphasizes that the repair work is necessary to ensure traffic safety. RIA calls on drivers to drive carefully, comply with traffic rules and speed limits, and not undertake risky overtaking.
