On May 24, 2025, the largest holiday procession in honor of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius and their work will be held in Burgas. A record number of 16,500 participants are expected, including children from kindergartens, students from 45 schools, university students from all universities in the city, clergy, and cultural figures.
The procession will start at 10:30 AM from the "Trojkata" square and will pass through the streets "Aleksandrovska", "Aleko Bogoridi" and the Balustrade to the Cultural Center "Morsko Casino". At the forefront will be an icon and a portrait of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, followed by students carrying letters from the Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabets.
For the safe conduct of the procession, the law enforcement authorities will stop traffic at several key intersections in the city center from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The festive program will continue at 11:00 AM on the open stage "Ohlyuva" in the Sea Garden with a blessing, prayer, and a solemn concert with the participation of children's and student ensembles. At 12:00 PM, the traditional exhibition "May 24" will be opened at the Artists' Association, where the "Young Artist of the Year" award will be presented.
