The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works presents a large-scale strategic framework for modernization of territorial management, covering programs, projects, and innovative approaches for sustainable development of Bulgarian regions.

The institutional structure of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) embodies a complex management model that integrates multiple strategic directions and expert units. At the head of the agency is Minister Ivan Ivanov, assisted by three deputy ministers: Vesselina Terziyska, Yura Vitanova, and Dora Yankova.

The organizational architecture includes various expert and advisory councils that ensure professional decision-making in key areas such as regional policy, geo-protection, water supply, energy efficiency, and sustainable development.

Among the ministry's leading priorities are the regional development programs covering the period 2021-2027. The Operational Program "Regions in Growth" is the main instrument for targeted intervention in territorial planning and infrastructure renovation.

International cooperation is realized through numerous transnational programs, including INTERREG in its various variants - from cooperation with border countries like Serbia, North Macedonia, and Turkey, to large-scale European initiatives such as INTERREG VI-C Europe.

Digital transformation is another significant focus, materialized in projects such as building a unified information system for territorial planning and digitalization of the construction sector.

Energy efficiency occupies a central place in strategic documents, with specific programs for renovating residential and non-residential buildings aimed at achieving climate neutrality and sustainability.

Administrative structure develops in parallel with decentralization processes, with an emphasis on the principles of good democratic governance and local self-government.

The National Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for significant investments in key areas such as green mobility, construction of treatment plants, and energy renovation of the building stock.

Transparency and anti-corruption mechanisms are guaranteed through public registers, declarations, and control systems that ensure accountability and traceability of management processes.

The ministry maintains active communication with the public through its official website, where it provides comprehensive information about its activities, projects, normative documents, and opportunities for civic participation.
