The Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan (GERB-SDS), commented on the upcoming address to the Bulgarian people by President Rumen Radev, stating that there is no fear of the emergence of a new political entity. "Why should it be a problem if he announces a party, this is democracy, anyone can participate," Raya Nazaryan commented before the meeting of the legal commission.

She emphasized that the president has the right to make the address and bear responsibility for it. "He has the right to do it, to take responsibility," Nazaryan said.

When asked if GERB is afraid of the emergence of a new political entity, Nazaryan answered negatively. "There is no fear in GERB of the emergence of a new political entity," she said. "This is the normal political situation - to have projects with ideas, to win with convictions, with arguments."

According to her, the president can terminate his mandate if he makes such a decision.

"We are all expecting it, I cannot guess," Raya Nazaryan added. "Let's see, this is his prerogative, what he will announce, it could also be in the other direction, we have been guessing for too long," she pointed out.

When asked if joint actions between GERB and a possible presidential formation are possible, she replied - we will see and then we will comment.
