Representatives of Bulgaria and Cuba held a meeting, at which they discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov reported that for the first two months of 2025, bilateral trade has increased by 19.62% compared to the same period of the previous year. He emphasized the need to diversify the traded products, focusing on those with higher added value.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Bulgaria Marieta Garcia Jordan underlined the existing long-standing traditional friendly relations between the two countries. They both agreed that there are opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including in sync with Bulgaria's membership in the European Union and the Republic of Cuba's membership in the Association for Latin American Integration and other regional organizations.
